- Set-up Interviews
We will meet with you or your family to discuss how we can best approach researching, structuring, and writing your biography. Once we determine the biography's focus, we can determine a schedule and sign-off on the documentation plan.
- Content Interviews
We will need a list of people we can contact to conduct interviews. Once we have the interview schedule setup, we'll let you know if you want to join us for the interviews.
- First Draft Review and Feedback
After we've had a chance to interview your family and friends, we will produce a First Draft of the biography that you can review. We may want to change the biography's focus or determine which events or people need more attention. We will work with you to incorporate your feedback, bringing the biography to the Second Draft.
- Collect Photographs
Now that you've had a chance to see the First Draft, we need to pick the photographs that will appear in the biography. Once we select the photographs, we will select the pages on which they will appear and write captions to explain them.
- Second Draft Review and Feedback
The Second Draft is an almost complete version of your biography which includes feedback from the First Draft and your photographs. This is your second chance to add any missing details and any additional photographs you wish to add.
- Third Draft Review and Feedback
This Final Draft should contain all the information and photographs for the final product. The feedback should be light, tying up loose ends and last minute details.
- Print Book
Once you sign off on the Final Draft, we will select the photograph and colors for the book cover. We will then send the Final Draft to the printer to produce the number of copies stated in the Documentation Plan.
